Maybe I Am Crazy, But I Think AI Is About to Become a Human-to-Human Bridge.

Published: January 24, 2026 | 9 min read

I was not planning to write this post.

Originally, this was supposed to be a few paragraphs at the end of my post sharing Oprah Winfrey's performance review. But as I wrote and wrote, the sentences got longer. My predictions became bigger. The ideas kept expanding until I realized: this deserves its own space.

So here we are. I have a prediction to make about the future of agentic coding. One that allows people to use AI in ways that still feel connected to other humans, not isolated.

The Fear Everyone Has

There is a concern I hear constantly: AI will disconnect us from each other. We will all be talking to machines, losing the human element that makes connection meaningful.

I understand this fear. I really do.

But I think we are looking at this wrong.

A New Measure of Influence

Here is my prediction:

In the future, more and more people will be able to create agents, whether file-based agents or agentic workflows. If I continue down this path, I will successfully influence many of them to give their agents real names. (Yes, I am that committed to this cause.)

And when that happens, a new measure of status will emerge.

Not followers. Not likes. Not views.

The number of people creating agents inspired by you.

Think about it. Whether someone is practicing how to speak eloquently, trying to reach a fitness goal, working toward a financial target, or trying to start a business, they will be building agents modeled after the people they admire most.

Your influence will not be measured by how many people consume your content. It will be measured by how many people operationalize your wisdom into their daily lives through AI.

MCPs Will Turn Your Favorite Experts Into 24/7 Advisors. I Am Not Kidding.

Here is where it gets interesting.

The people who already have status, the thought leaders, domain experts, and successful entrepreneurs, will learn to package their knowledge and insights into MCPs. They will sell these as a way for people to have access to them 24/7.

Can you imagine the premium rates people would pay if they knew they were texting Claude or ChatGPT, but they aren't really texting AI? They are instead texting the MCPs of the people they admire and getting personalized insights on their specific, real-life situations.

For Companies:

The Enterprise Consultant MCP

Your company is facing a major strategic decision. Merger or organic growth? Pivot or double down?

Normally, you would pay $50,000 for a two-hour consultation with a top-tier strategist who has guided Fortune 500 companies through similar crossroads.

But what if instead, you could pay $5,000 per month for unlimited access to that strategist's entire decision-making framework? Your leadership team could ask questions at 2 AM when the CEO cannot sleep. Your product team could run scenarios through their lens.

Access to world-class strategic thinking, available whenever you need it, without the retainer fees or scheduling conflicts.

The Domain Expert MCP

You are a startup building in healthcare. Your engineers are brilliant, but they do not understand the nuances of HIPAA compliance, patient workflows, or the unwritten rules of hospital procurement.

Normally, you would either hire an expensive consultant for $300/hour or make costly mistakes and learn the hard way.

But imagine purchasing an MCP from a former hospital administrator who spent 20 years navigating these exact systems. Your entire team could ask questions about compliance, workflow design, and industry nuances without scheduling calls or paying consulting fees.

The domain expertise that would take years to acquire becomes accessible immediately.

The 30-Year Veteran MCP

Imagine your most valuable employee is retiring next month.

She has been with the company for three decades. She knows every client relationship, every workaround for the broken systems, every unwritten rule that makes the organization function.

Instead of losing all that when she walks out the door, you package her expertise into an MCP. New hires can ask her questions. Managers can consult her decision-making patterns.

The institutional knowledge that took 30 years to build stays with the organization forever.

The Customer Service Excellence MCP

Your top customer service rep has handled 10,000+ support tickets.

They have mastered conflict resolution patterns, empathy frameworks, and de-escalation techniques that took years to develop.

Now your entire support team has access to that expertise in real-time during difficult calls.

The wisdom of your best performer, available to everyone on the team.

For Individuals:

Dating Advice From Someone You Trust

You just got a text from someone you are interested in.

You have read it 47 times. You have drafted 12 responses and deleted them all. You need advice, but not generic "just be yourself" platitudes.

You need the perspective of that relationship coach whose Instagram posts always make you feel seen, whose approach to vulnerability and boundaries perfectly aligns with your values.

What if you could describe the exact situation, the exact text, your exact fears, and get their guidance tailored to you?

Not a blog post written for millions. A conversation designed for one.

Fitness Coaching From Your Favorite Trainer

It is 6 AM. You woke up motivated, but now you are staring at your home gym and you have no idea what to do.

You have a bad knee, 30 minutes before work, and limited equipment. You could scroll through random YouTube videos, but none of them know your body, your limitations, your goals.

What if you could access an MCP from that trainer whose philosophy has always resonated with you? You describe your constraints, and they give you a workout designed specifically for today's reality.

Their methodology, their voice, their approach, available the moment you need it, not just when their calendar has an opening.

Financial Guidance From a Mentor You Admire

You just got a promotion with a significant salary increase. You want to invest it wisely, but you are overwhelmed.

Index funds or individual stocks? Max out your 401k or pay down your mortgage faster?

You listen to a financial expert's podcast every week and their philosophy on wealth-building deeply resonates with you, but their coaching program has a two-year waitlist and costs $15,000.

What if you could purchase their MCP instead? You describe your exact salary, your exact debt, your exact goals, your exact risk tolerance, and receive guidance through their lens.

Their actual investment philosophy and decision-making framework applied to your unique financial situation.

Parenting Wisdom From the Person Whose Approach You Admire

It is 8 PM and your child is having a meltdown. You are exhausted. You need guidance right now.

Instead of scrolling through old parenting books or waiting until your therapist's office opens tomorrow, you could talk to an MCP built from a parenting expert whose calm, empathetic approach has always resonated with you.

Their frameworks for emotional regulation, their scripts for difficult conversations, their perspective on discipline.

All available in the moment you need it most.

People might never be able to talk to the people they admire the most in real life. But they would feel like they are because AI would act as the bridge between a person's body of knowledge and the user's situation.

AI as the Bridge

Here is the reframe I keep coming back to:

People spend hours and hours listening to content on social media from people they admire. They consume podcasts, watch videos, read newsletters. All to get closer to the thinking of people who inspire them.

Now imagine if those people could access the full body of knowledge and experiences of the people they admire as MCPs. They would be able to receive tailored insights from the ones they admire based on their own specific needs by talking to an LLM client like Claude or ChatGPT.

AI then becomes a human-to-human bridge, not a disconnector of humans.

That shift is everything.

The Uncomfortable Questions

Of course, people would abuse this. There will be fake MCPs, misrepresented expertise, and all the problems that come with any new technology. That is a conversation for another day.

There is also the concern that if people purchase these MCPs, they will still be stuck behind a computer or phone.

But I mean... they already are, are they not?

The question is not whether people will spend time on screens. They will. The question is whether that screen time brings them closer to the wisdom they need or just feeds them endless content with no application.

I think MCPs change the equation.

Why I Cannot Stop Thinking About This

These thoughts have been running through my head for days. I see it so clearly, which is why I am writing about it.

I have already built my own AI team with agents that have distinct personalities and purposes. I have seen how much more engaging it is when Igor Jarvis handles my Substack strategy or when Oprah Winfrey coaches my English eloquence.

These are not just tools. They feel like collaborators. And I am just one person building for herself.

What happens when the people with massive audiences and decades of accumulated wisdom start packaging their knowledge this way?

The Future of Connection

Maybe I am crazy.

But what if I am not?

What if this is exactly where we are heading? A future where the best teachers, coaches, and mentors can scale their impact infinitely, where their wisdom lives beyond any single conversation, where access to expertise is democratized through AI?

I am not saying it will be perfect. Nothing ever is.

But I am saying the narrative that AI disconnects us might be missing the point entirely. AI could be the very thing that connects us more deeply to the people and ideas that shape who we want to become.

That is the future I see. And I think it is closer than anyone realizes.

As always, thanks for reading!
